Can henna cause hair loss??

can henna cause hair loss when used to dye hair a lot of time???Can henna cause hair loss??
I just started henna-ing my hair, so I saw your question and got worried.

However, henna is supposed to be good for hair. This site says it's an ancient way of *controlling* hair loss, even. So in theory, it would help your hair grow, not make you lose more hair.

You may have the wrong sort of henna, or something else could be causing your hair loss. You should see a hair dresser, and if s/he things something is definitely wrong, go see a doctor. Can henna cause hair loss??
YES, if used to often...Henna is Known as a Hair Conditioner because it coated the hair, (similar to the liquids of a hot Candle wax) If the hair is overly done it becomes to heavy and this can cause it to Break....
no... it wont.. but it ll make the hair really frizzy and rope-like on prolonged usage..
not sure about hair loss, but its causes breakage. my hair became brittle, so i stopped using henna and use proper colour now.
Henna will not cause 'hair loss'. But it will cause breakage. If you want you hair colored, please see your stylist and get it done correctly. Henna can damage your hair very badly when used over time. If a stylist puts color over henna, it can cause the hair to burn (like over processing, it will feel like spaghetti and break severly). Please do not do this. See your stylist.
yes.
Unlikely. Certain ethnic groups have used it for centuries.
yes becuase its not meant for dying hair
I have read all the responses above, I think you people mentioning Henna is not the natural henna, it may be henna dye. Natural henna is green powder of the leaf of henna plant. I t wont couse any problem if u know HOW TO USE!!!!!
