has lost 5 pounds in last week, vomiting, fatiguedWhat illness would cause hair loss in 14 month old child?
I agree with the poster above me.
If all the things you listed are happening simultaneously i.e. weight loss, hair loss, vomitting AND fatigue, tests need to be run to access the child. It could also be a thyroid, digestive, or nutrient absorption problem.
Did the hair loss happen BEFORE the fatigue and vomitting? Some hair loss is normal in infants. It might even be cradle cap. The hair loss could be entirely unrelated to the other things. The child could have cradle cap, and THEN maybe contracted a virus.
The child needs to get to a doctor. That is the only way you'll know for sure if the symptoms are all related. Take care! What illness would cause hair loss in 14 month old child?
Been on minoxidil for about a year and a half and have not seen even the smallest amount of regrowth that i almost fell into depression.
My hair only started visibly growing after doubtfully trying out the natural techniques to re-grow lost hair @ http://www.regrowmyhair.info
I would highly recommend this easy to follow step-by-step guide with pictures to anyone who is suffering from hair loss right now.
Anyway, its also a cheaper and effective way of re-growing lost hair compared to those unnatural ways which may involve harsh chemicals that may have side effects.
Good Luck !
Child really needs a check up, hair loss being least of the problem.
Protein deficiency is one cause, you said the child is losing weight.
Consultation is urgently needed.
