Would using hair clips or barrettes cause hair loss?

My hair is short, but in that awkward growing out phase. Lately i've been using hair clips on the sides to hold back the sides, cause they are starting to look weird. In the last week or so i have noticed more hair than usual in the drain after my shower. I don't think the clips are pulling my hair or too tight, at least they don't hurt or feel uncomfortable, but i am starting to wonder if the hair loss is from the clips. i am hypothyroid, which i know can cause hair loss, but have not been feeling any worse than normal and my blood tests are fine, so i don't think it's that. any suggestions? could it really be the clips?Would using hair clips or barrettes cause hair loss?
i think it is due to hair clips

i too had the same prob.

may be i'm to small to have any diseases so no blood tests

and nothing like that

i have consulted a beautician and she said that clips pull our hair and they cause hair loss

she also said that the palce where we keep our clips in that we may loss hair more and we may not have hair there.and even when we tie our hair it should not be tight bcoz it may also create hair lossWould using hair clips or barrettes cause hair loss?
If you're pressing really hard on the clips or you're clipping your hair super tight it could cause breakage. Also if you're losing hair it could be your age? Unless you're young then pulling your hair back super tight could cause hairloss. But if it's not that tight then it might just be you have thin hair.
only if they're too tight or you're sleeping with them in.we all go through stages when we lose more hair ,try using a hair thickening shampoo that might help-its a hard stage(letting your hair grow in) but stick with it and the clips !
I don't think so. Its more like your thyroid.
