I switched from Advantage to Frontline at the vet's suggestion. The first thing I noticed was how much more expensive it was. About 4 weeks later, I noticed my Irish Setter's fur coming out in exactly the spot I had applied the Frontline. And she stands there drooling. It's frightening... The vet wants me to switch back to Advantage, because he says the fleas are the real culprit... I think I'll try the Dawn, although that stuff is also very strong.Frontline causing hair loss on my dog?
It might be best for a little bit to not use anything till her spots start to heal. Like humans some dogs have allergies to things. I have a dog that I can give Advantage to but not frontline or even advantage plusFrontline causing hair loss on my dog?
I had a cat who would drool after I gave her Frontline. Ask your Vet about Comfortis. It's a once a month flavored tablet--must be given w/a meal.
