Does wellbutrin cause hair loss?

If you have taken it did you experience thinning?Does wellbutrin cause hair loss?
I have been taking wellbutrin for about 4 months now, and have started asking the same question you have asked. I have also noticed more than usual hair loss - instead of a barely perceivable amount, several strands at a time are coming out, and I can run my hand through my hair during the day, and will come away with several strands on my hand.


I have come to the conclusion (based on researching the web and speaking to my doctor) that nearly any antidepressant can have this effect. Curiously, it is not noted as a side effect on the manufacturer's site. I have decided to quit taking the wellbutrin and try walking/light workouts instead!
