What can cause hair loss?

My hair keeps falling out (my hairdresser said its suppose to be about 100 a day, but muchhhhh more than that has fallen out in the past hour :/)

What could be a cause for this? (i.e. lacking something in diet etc)What can cause hair loss?
1. Too much straightening can cause a lot of hair loss [personal experience]

2. As well as too much brushing/ combing

3. Stress

4. Shampooing too often can cause your hair to thin

5. Too much blowdryingWhat can cause hair loss?
Stress is a major cause of hair loss as is a lack of Vitamin C and E but don't go out and overdose on the vitamins as they need to be a continuous part of your diet. Vegetables such as broccoli will also help. Too much heat from hair dryers and straighteners will also damage hair, so please let it be more natural. Don't spend too much time worrying about it as that won't help either. Be gentle with it and use a good shampoo and conditioner while reducing your toxins such as smoking and alcohol consumption.
Yes, there is a connection between hair loss and diet. Hair loss can be caused by an unhealthy diet. The excessive consumption of beer, burgers, sugary drinks, red meat, etc, can also contribute to male baldness. Stress is another cause of hair loss.
It's basically all obvious causes. Stress, poor diet, always wearing your hair in tight ponytails, etc.
Stress...?
