what you have is bulimia, i used to have it again it just stabilised my weight, and i lost a bit of hair, it also gives you bad breath and stomach ulsers, i also got to the point where i was eating increadbly little and what i did eat got throw up which caused fainting fits and increadble stomach pains, in the end i had such little engergy so what i did to beat it is eat what i wanted, worked out how much calories i actually needed and exercised what i over ate away, more healthy and your body looks better as its more toned, its the only way to go if you want a slim body but love your foodDoes Bulimia cause hair loss? I have a masters degree in clinical counseling and one in psychology.I tell you that cuz I understand and not bragging.
1) YES, with bulimia it does cause hair loss. Think of it this way the hair loss( and theres going to be other bad side effects coming) r just that side effects.-nothing more than side effects that will make you unattractive.
2) Bulimia is a symptom its not the problem.That may sound strange but its true.
3) you will be best served to get professional help from someone who works with these situation. Also,find a support group being in community with other suffers is very helpful-research supports it. Sweety,
if you r brave enough you will then get to the PROBLEM.It may be painful looking at what is driving this need.Most people who have this r very insecure and also have problems in the area of control.

You are probably suffering from many nutritional deficiencies that are affecting not only hair loss, but major organ functions. While seeking medical help is essential, I wouldn't necessarily recommend seeing your regular doctor for this problem. Having been in health care for many years, it is surprising the number of physicians that are not familiar with eating disorders. Your best bet is to find an eating disorder clinic or psychiatrist RIGHT AWAY and get a referral from them for a physician that is knowledgeable in this area and will know how to treat you appropriately.
