Do weave extensions cause hair loss?

Right now I currently have clip in extensions and when I leave them in for several days (including shower, bed, ect.) when I take them out I have huge amounts of hair that come out. There is no noticeable thining but its kind of scary. Anyway, I want to get hair extensions sewn in, will this cause a huge amount of hair loss?? Or will it be safe just like on other peoples hair?? Do weave extensions cause hair loss?
Well, alot of hair does come out when you take them out, but they say its because your hair doesnt naturally shed while they are in. I've had a couple sown in extensions, and honestly, i really dont recommend it. I lost a lot of hair, and it was so uncomfortable. Also, when I took them out, my hair was disgustiong. I really dont like them sown in, i have microlinks in right now which i like much better and they arent damaging or uncomfortable. If you need more help, shoot me an email. Clip - in extensions shouldn't be taking out your hair. Sewn in extensions could definitely cause hair loss since you braid the hair to anchor in the extensions. Braiding too tight could cause hair loss, but I don't know why you would have that with clip ins.
