Can binge drinking cause hair loss?

As in, drinking about eight or nine beers in a night...which would be the amount I drink on a typical weekend night out. I'm beginning to notice a correlation between drinking this much then the next morning having 30-40 hairs fall out while washing/combing my hair.

Though when I don't drink the night before that much hair does not fall out.Can binge drinking cause hair loss?
This drinking pattern is going to ruin your liver and it won't matter how much hair you have when you are dying! Can binge drinking cause hair loss?
I've never heard that in any class I've ever taken. Binge drinking can make your nose real red and puffy though.
How about just not binge drinking. It's definitely bad for you. You'll live a much longer.
I tell you what. . . If you go binge drinking, and pass out drunk.... Your friends could shave your head... so... yes - binge drinking can cause hair loss..
Yes, it can. Estrogen can cause hair loss, and drinking alchohol, especially a lot in a short time, can drastically increase estrogen levels and cause hair loss.
no,if so i would of been a chrome dome by now.
if your body is so meesed up form dirnking that youre becoming malnourished, then yes.
I think you are just losing your hair. Do an experiment. Stop drinking that much and see if you still lose your hair.
Yes, it does.

I would advise you to consider your intake as well. Alcoholism is extremely hard to overcome once you've gone too far.
your going bald accept it dont look for reasons ...it happens

unless you are woman in which case you must be fat to drink that much beer at night .....
I think it does. Hair folicles are produced by the essential vitamins in the body that are depleated by alcohol.

Especially zinc (the main hair producing vitamin).

So if you binge drink, not only are you increasing your levels of estrogen (causing hair loss in men), you are decreasing your levels of zinc (hair producing vitamin).

So - I would highly suggest not binge drinking for many reasons. Including losing hair, looking strung-out, wasting your life, and losing brain cells.

We need more hairy -brainy people in our society.
I think you pretty much answered your own question.
Anything less than a dozen beers is not binge drinking. Depending on your age, I take it as a natural process, hair falls out all the time for all kinds of reasons, and yes alcohol does help.
Sounds like you have found your culprit!
yes
Binge drinking can cause alcoholism!
no, just death.
