there are so many causes of hair loss. the best thing is to see a dermatologistI've had about four months of extreme stress. Could this have caused hair loss because I have a bald spot?
When my mother passed away I also had bald spots on my head. It took time but my hair grew back. Sorry you are going Thu this . God Bless youI've had about four months of extreme stress. Could this have caused hair loss because I have a bald spot?
Yes it could. Also be sure you are not eliminating certain foods... or not eating properly. Along with the stress we tend to not eat at all or overeat certain things, eliminating other elements that are needed....
it definately could cause hair loss, but you should also check with a doctor or dermatologist to make sure that it is not something more serious. Hair loss is one of many side effects of stress! Try to chill out :)

Does playing with your hair so much causes hair loss?

i've played with mine for years, and it's very thin probably because of it (not noticeably to anyone but me or someone staring at my head for 5 minutes). people with healthier hair don't have this problem though. (i have arabic hair...)Does playing with your hair so much causes hair loss?
Probably not, but stress will make you lose your hair for sure.
And if you stress yourself out by playing with your hair too much.. Well... You see where this is going.
I've never heard of that one. Actually massaging the scalp makes the hair grow.

What causes hair loss, besides inheritance?
It is normal to lose between 50-100 hairs a day, this is part of the hair renewal process. However most people suffer from excessive hair loss at one time in their life. There are many reasons for this including medication, radiation, chemotherapy, exposure to chemicals, hormonal and nutritional factors, thyroid disease, generalized or local skin disease, and stress.
Many of these causes are temporary and a few are permanent. These are some of the more common reason for hair loss.
HORMONAL
Since hormones both stimulate hair growth and cause hair loss, hormonal changes by far have the biggest impact on hair loss. These can affect both men and women. Men generally have hair loss concentrated in a specific pattern from the front through to the crown.
Since the follicle is a very sensitive it does respond to imbalances in the body. Most hair loss causes by disease or illness is temporary and resolves itself after the body has returned to a healthy condition
Deficient diet
Some people who go on low protein diets, or have severely abnormal eating habits, may develop protein malnutrition. To help save protein the body shifts growing hair into the resting phase. If this happens massive amounts of hair shedding can occur two to three months later. A sign of this is if the hair can be pulled out by the roots fairly easily. This condition can be reversed and prevented by eating the proper amount of protein. Its very important when dieting to maintain an adequate protein intake.
Medications
Some prescription drugs may cause temporary hair shedding in a small percentage of people. Examples of such drugs include some of the medicines used for the following: gout, arthritis, depression, heart problems, high blood pressure, or blood thinner. High doses of vitamin A may also cause hair shedding.
Low serum iron
Iron deficiency occasionally produces hair loss. Some people don't have enough iron in their diets or may not fully absorb iron in their diets. Women who have heavy menstrual periods may develop iron deficiency. Low iron can be detected by laboratory tests and can be corrected by taking iron pills.
Stress
Stress can cause hair loss is some people. Usually it occurs 3 months after the stressful event has occured and it may take 3 months after the stress period has ended for the hair growth to resume. In most cases it is temporary if the person is not predisposed to genetic or Androgenic Alopecia, if they are stress may trigger the onset of genetic hair loss or may worsen existing Androgenic hair loss.
Damage to the hair can be self inflicted either by intentional or unintentional means. Some people going through stress continuously pull at their hair until it comes out. Styling hair by bleaching, braiding and straightening can also cause damage and results in hair being lost.
Hair Styling Treatments
Many people change the appearance of their hair by using chemical treatments like dyes, tints, bleaches, straighteners, relaxers and permanent waves. If correctly done and done using reputable products, its rare to have any damage. However, hair can become weak and break if any of these chemicals are used too often. Hair can also break if the solution is left on too long, if two procedures are done on the same day, or if bleach is applied to previously bleached hair. Some chemical relaxers do contain powerful chemicals and there have been instances of people get chemical burns from these products resulting in permanent hair loss. Only go to qualified hair stylists and if doing it yourself make sure you only use reputable products and follow the product directions. What causes hair loss, besides inheritance?
poor diet, stress, the enviroment, the work that you do, the hardness of your water, lots of stuff.
why, are you loosing your hair? What causes hair loss, besides inheritance?
stress, sicknesses, diseases, chemotherapy
poor diet, stress, side effect of a medication, poor scalp condition. also - i always heard wearing a hat all the time causes it by rubbing and suffocating.
diet, too much dying, not enough conditioner, stress
The main reasons are stress and a thyroid disorder called hyperthyroidism.
If you know you're under an unusual amount of stress lately, try some stress management techniques, which are as simple as going to the gym, taking a bath, and plain 'ole R%26amp;R time, doing something you enjoy. You have to make the time to do these things, and you owe it to yourself in times of stress.
Hyperthyroidism is very common, and can be dianosed with a blood test. Other symptoms of this disorder are fatigue, nervousness, faster heart rate, weight loss and trembling hands. If you think you may have hyperthyroidism, see your doctor, and they might prescribe meds for you. It's no biggie.

What causes hair loss?
I understand one thing is genetics. My brother lost a significant amount of hair from the ages 19-23. I am 18 and now going through the same thing. I want to at least attempt to stop it before it gets worse. What is the science behind hair loss? Also, is there any natural way to prevent it?What causes hair loss?
1. Check your diet. If you are not eating a balanced diet, your entire body will be affected, and your hair is a part of your body. Certain proteins, minerals, and oils are critical for normal hair health.
2. Check your stress levels. Anxiety and stress are common causes of hair loss. Some stress cannot be avoided, but you can take steps to reduce their affect on your body. One of these is regular exercise. As well, you need to develop relaxation techniques, such as breathing therapy, Yoga, or meditation. Whatever works for you, increase it!
3. Hair loss can be a symptom of a disease – Lupus and Diabetes are two common causes. When hair loss appears to have no other cause, you need to check with your doctor. Diabetes and Lupus are more dangerous than the hair loss they cause.
4. How about mom and dad? Hair loss, particularly pattern hair loss, is partially a result of heredity, and heredity from both sides. Unfortunately, this one can’t be reversed.
5. Fungal infections of the scalp can cause hair loss. Usually, you will see the signs of these on your scalp. Have them diagnosed and get them treated!
6. Harsh shampoos can cause increased hair loss. There is an ingredient in shampoo which causes it to lather – surfactant. Too much of this can cause itchy, dry, and scaly scalps, and those conditions can cause hair loss.
If you find that you are doing everything right and have no diseases or scalp conditions, you will want to try other remedies, which fall into three categories.
1. Medicines developed specifically for hair loss. There are a multitude of creams, pills, and ointments available to try. Everyone is different and what works for one will not necessarily work for you. You will need to experiment to find one that seems to work best for you.
2. Natural remedies are available as well. Most of these include essential oils, that is, concentrated oils from specific plants. Provillus is a very good example of this method of hair loss treatment. Provillus is an oral supplement, which works to block DHT, a form of testosterone that is responsible for 95 percent of hair loss.
It also works to stimulate the scalp and bring dead follicles back to life. You can use Provillus as a preventative tool, starting the program before hair loss becomes severe, or you can use it after DHT has already begun to take hold of your hair and scalp.
3. Surgery: There are a wide variety of procedures available to you, however, they are quite costly. Any type of permanent hair replacement will take several months, several visits, and several trips to your bank account. Research your options, and get several consultations before a final decision.Try the least expensive and lifestyle change options first. If they work, you have saved yourself time and money. But don’t sit on the situation too long – hair loss can be a symptom of something more serious.
You can order a free trial of Provillus from the source link below. You have a chance your brother didnt have. Help your self before its to late, you might even help your brother. What causes hair loss?
Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems.Perming, straightening, hair dyeing and bleaching ,hot combing, using heated rollers and hot wax inevitably damage the hair.Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Normal Hair Loss:
We all lose about 100 hairs per day, out of the 100,000 contained by the average scalp. This is due to a few factors:
* Lifespan: The average lifespan of a single hair is 4.5 years; the hair then falls out and is replaced within 6 months by a new hair.
* Styling: Shampooing, blow drying, and brushing hair can all cause a few hairs to fall out; most of us do this regularly.
* Aging: After the age of 30 (and often before), men and women both start losing hair, though men tend to do so at a faster rate.
Hereditary Hair Loss:
Genetic hair loss isn’t due to excessive amounts of hair falling out, as many believe, but to an insufficient amount of hairs growing back to replace the hairs that have been shed. Hereditary baldness is associated with a few factors:
* Gender: Hereditary, or “pattern” baldness, is much more common in men than in women.
* Age: By age 30, 1 in 4 men is balding; by age 60, 2 in 3 men are balding or bald.
* Hormones: Pattern baldness is associated with testosterone; women who have more of it in their system as they age tend to lose (or, technically, fail to re-grow) more hair. This is also why more men experience pattern baldness.
Stress and Hair Loss:
You may have heard that stress can cause hair loss, and it’s true. Excessive physical or emotional stress, like that associated with injury, illness or surgery, can cause one of two types of hair loss:
* The more common type is called telogen effluvium. With this less severe type of hair loss, the hair stops growing and lies dormant, only to fall out 2 or 3 months later. Then it grows back within 6 to 9 months.
* The other type of stress-induced hair loss is known as alopecia areata, and involves a white blood cell attack on the hair follicles. With this type of hair loss, the hair also falls out within weeks (usually in patches), but can involve the entire scalp and even body hair. Hair may grow back on its own, but treatment may also be required.
Other Hair Loss Factors:
There are other factors that can also cause hair loss, including but not limited to:
* Illness
* Hormonal changes
* Pregnancy, childbirth, and birth control pill usage
* Nervous habits
* Chemotherapy

Genes and thyroid problems. See a doctor, you may have a high amount of bad chlorestoral, i don't know spelling, or a low amount of good chlorestoral.
I don't know all the causes, but I do know I have read that stress can cause hair loss in women. They have Rogaine for Women, so I would try that. Maybe even visit a dermatologist.
I am not a pro but tht happen to me once. I guess stress, pain, age, going through a change. That all causes hair loss I guess.

Does repeated mastrubation causes hair loss and loss of stamina?
No, absolutely!
You could feel a bit of tiredness only in the case you鈥檙e wanking too much (many times in a day and for long time) and it depends by your body-build (and mind) too, of course.
A friend of mine had a bit of anaemia after one year while he had been acting for 2-3 times in a day!
At last, hair gets no link with the mastur*bation act!Does repeated mastrubation causes hair loss and loss of stamina?
Not hair loss; but men usually lose stamina after ejaculation. Hair loss is genetic unless you have a medical condition for losing your hair. Talk to your physician about your hair loss. Rogaine is said to help.Does repeated mastrubation causes hair loss and loss of stamina?
Loss of stamina, yes, but not hair loss. Just like post-coital period, post masturbation may make you feel like going to sleep. Hair loss is usually a familial condition, inherited from the male line of the family, unless you
have a medical condition. Check with a dermatologist

What has caused hair loss in women!?
I didnt realize it but my hair has been falling out. Now it is very obvious. My hair was my alot thicker. Had blood test and it came back normal. My hair is so thin on top I cant maintain my hair style and it falls within mins. You can see my scalp ,I need help. My daughter has it real bad also, and her blood test came back normal, could it be a lack of a vitamin? Please help.?What has caused hair loss in women!?
maybe you have PCOS? it took my drs forever to figure it out What has caused hair loss in women!?
It could be cancer...But the blood tests said Normal. It could be a lack of Vitamins, Get a Vitamin supplement and use it for around a week, If the amount of hair that falls out does not reduce then I would go and see a doctor or skin specialist.
It may also just be in your Gene's for hair to fall out, Do you and your daughter dye your hair alot or wash them alot? If you dye your hair then I would go and consult a hairdresser, They may have some hair strengthening serums/ointments.
If you wash your hair alot of have been using only 1 brand of Shampoo and conditioner then I would stop washing it so much, twice a week is plenty. Also try chaging your shampoo and conditioner, If you are using a cheap and crappy brand then try something a little more expensive. The cheap stuff may contain some NASTY chemicals.
In the mean time, If it is obvious wear a cap or beanie or a head scarf.
Could be many different factors that are causing your hair loss. I think you may be on to something asking about the vitamins because It is important that your body is getting all the nutrients it needs.
You can stop your hair loss with the right treatment. Do not use just any old solution, though. Do some comparing of hair loss products.
I found a site that compares top treatments on the market today, and they have a review of a woman hair loss solution.
