Wearing helmets can cause hair loss????

Can helmets cause excessive hair loss? I am using helmets and found that I am loosing more hair than usual. Is there any explanation for this. What could be the reason ?Wearing helmets can cause hair loss????
I ride motorcycles and I have a relaxer on my hair, before I place the helmet on my heat I wrap a silk scarf around my head first. I never had any problems of hair loss or breakage.

Yes some. Wearing any type of hat can. you head gets less stimulation and the hat can rub and wear down hair.


it's not much different than wearing socks, after time it will start wearing the hair off around your ankles.
Most hair loss is heretitary.


Stress can cause it.


Chemical burn can cause it,


Most of your body's heat leaves through the head. This is why it's recomended to wear a hat in the winter.


I raced Moto X 5 to 7 day's a week for 7 years all over Cali. in the 80's. My hair is fine. However my bro. has been bald for decades. from my fathers side of the family.


I would look for other reasons.


Reality is I can't say thats not the cause though.
