Diet caused hair loss! Help!?

I got a bit carried away in my diet and became underweight and ate very little. This caused my hair to fall out like crazy!

I've gotten healthy again. I gained most of the weight back so im at a healthy weight and I eat very well. My hair is STILL falling out though. It's kind of depressing. When will this stop!Diet caused hair loss! Help!?
If the extreme dieting and weight loss was the only cause of your hair loss, it should begin to grow back within 6-9 months after implementing a nutrient-rich diet. Supplements such as spirulina can help. If there are other factors involved they will also have to be addressed. Essential oil scalp treatments can help stimulate new hair growth and restore the hair growth cycle.Diet caused hair loss! Help!?
If you watch the TV show Survivor. There was an episode about 25 days into the game (first season) that a half starved women showed that her hair was falling out in big klumps. She got voted out, and has since regrown her hair. It look like you had an eating disorder and as a side effect lost some hair. I would make sure that you are taking a multivitamin, and if you ever decide to diet again make sure that you at least keep taking the vitamins.
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier. It sounds like you're deprived of one or more vitamins. Try to take a multivitamin everyday. That should start helping.

Also, calcium makes your hair stronger so try to go to a local vitamin/health store, such as GNC, and ask the attendant to help you find some good calcium supplements that would be right for you

Hope this helped!
you should consult a nutritionist. do you take multivitamis? is losing that much weight worth losing your hair? i am now bald from this and no weight loss is worth losing all your hair. be proud of how you look and make sure you do not overdo anything you choose to do.
Besides low protein intake, low thyroid function can lead to hair falling. Check this out!
