What causes hair loss?

Uhh...I was wondering..what causes hair loss and how can it be preventedWhat causes hair loss?
Stress is usually the contributer, but in summer, even for myself, I have thick, long hair and after showering there is a ton of hair sitting on top of the drain- when I comb my hair out I have it all over me- especially happens when I wear my hear in a ponytail, then I really shed more- but summer hair loss is common, if this is what you think is going on with you, don't worry, it is normal- I go through this every summer now and when this first happened I freaked thinking ';omg I am losing my hair and going to go bald';- nope, just summer hair loss. What causes hair loss?
To much dht in the hair follical. Propecia blocks this dht and your hair will continue to grow.
A lot of times, its due to hormonal reasons or genetics. For young females, if hair loss occurs, there is usually a glandular problem such as low thyroid. Wearing a hairstyle such as a tight 'ponytail' or bun on a frequent basis can also cause hair loss by placing too much tension on the follicles.

Also, some people experience temporary hair loss following an illness with a high fever.
One reason is that it's inherited, I think.
Stress and genetics cause hair loss.
Could be a deficiency of zinc and Vitamin E.
Dont brush hard when u brush ur hair and I always was told not to shampoo ur hair everyday Also dont pull it back so tight when u put it in a ponytail But hairloss comes natural as u get older so the stuf ^ will help u have hair longer. :)
